Description:Striking spikes of fragrant lilac-pink flowers appear in late spring. The small rounded foliage is shaped into a uniform compact ball shape and grafted onto a standard. It best used as a solitary accent in the garden. Plant in a location that has well-drained soil; after establishment, it is drought tolerant. Prune to maintain the compact ball shape each year around Father's Day as this is shortly after the flowers bloom. Whenever growth occurs below the graft, immediately remove to prevent energy being taken away from the top. Flowers can be cut to enjoy in bouquets and scent many different products, such as candles and soaps.
