Latin Name: Geranium maculatum 'Espresso'
Height: 18 - 24 inches
Spread: 12 - 18 inches
Sunlight: Full Sun; Part Sun; Part Shade
Bloom Time: May to June
Hardiness Zone: 4-8
Description:
Espresso Cranesbill has masses of beautiful pale lavender to pink flowers from late spring to mid summer, which are most effective when planted in groupings. Its deeply cut lobed palmate leaves are chocolate in color. Foliage will decline if the soil dries out in summer droughts. Cutting back midseason as new growth emerges from the base of the plant will help it seem like a new plant! Also, deadheading will encourage it to continue blooming longer into the season. Birds love to eat the seed capsules. This variety of Geranium is a nativar.
