North Star Sour Cherry is a dwarf cherry, perfect for smaller yards. A self-pollinating tree, it produces large bright red fruits with red flesh that ripen in June. These fruits are recommended for pies and other baked items rather than fresh eating due to their tart, or sour, taste. The tree is covered in white blossoms in April. It will take several years after planting for a full production and harvest of fruits.
