Description:
Winterthur Viburnum is a nativar that features aromatic white flowers in clusters. These give way to pink berries that deepen in color before starting to change to blue then purplish-black as they ripen. These berries are edible but highly acidic. The glossy dark green leaves turn maroon to dark red-purple in autumn. This shrub will typically average only 6 – 8 feet in cultivation. Prune after flowering to shape as needed, although this might reduce the berry production.
