Description:Shenandoah has an arching, upright habit with green blades tipped in red. The green changes to burgundy in autumn. Starting in July, a show of pinkish, airy cloud-like panicles can be viewed. These eventually give way to the seed heads. Seed heads can be left for the birds to enjoy or cut the stems to use in autumn and winter décor. Cut clumps back in late winter to early spring to approximately 3 inches above the ground.
