Description:Sweetly fragrant (honey scented) flower heads consist of tiny tubular white flowers in pom-pom shaped clusters, attracting a number of different pollinators. These then turn into a golf ball sized red fruit, containing seeds for birds, including waterfowl. Glossy green foliage change to shades of red, bronze, and yellow in fall. Newly emerging foliage will often have tinges of orange and red. This variety of buttonbush loves moisture, even tolerating bog conditions, making it great for any rain garden. It does not tolerate periods of drought. This buttonbush is a nativar.
