Natchez is a thornless blackberry with large sweet black fruits that ripen in June, the earliest of any thornless blackberry. The fruits are perfect for eating, baking, and preserving. Semi-erect, this is a fast growing variety that benefits from being supported by a trellis. Remove the oldest canes each year in late winter. This blackberry is self-pollinating and can propagate from the tips of the canes rooting into the soil. The flower blooms are white.
