Description:
A popular eating apple, the Fuji Apple features sweet, juicy, and crispy flesh that is cream colored. It can be utilized in baking, juicing, and applesauce in addition to the fresh eating. The applesauce does not need any added sugar to it. Even more impressive is its storage life of 4 to 6 months in refrigeration. Featuring pink and white blooms in April, it requires another apple variety blooming at the same time to pollinate it. Options include, but are not limited to, Gala, Granny Smith, and Braeburn. The fruit typically ripens in early to mid-October. The Fuji Apple tree was hybridized from two American apple varieties at a research station in Japan. The fragrant blossoms can be cut and enjoyed inside the home.
