Description:
The Ground Hug Black Chokeberry is a dense, low growing ground cover that acts as a weed suppressor. Its dainty white flowers give way to blue-black fruits in fall. Bright green leaves give way to colors of orange and red in autumn, rivaling that of the Burning Bush. Prune immediately after blooms finish if required, as pruning removes the production of berries. While the berries are edible, they are tart and bitter. Birds and other wildlife will eat them. This specific chokeberry is a nativar.
