Description:

Catmint is a popular herb with many cats. It can bee grown as a perennial herb in Indiana, with its clump forming habit that readily spreads. Plant in locations where one is okay with it spreading that also has well draining soils, as winter wetness can be fatal. Catnip is not as ornamentally attractive as other catmints. This one features square, grayish stems and grey-green foliage, both of which are aromatic. Flowers are most commonly white but might show off the occasional lavender to pale purple shade. Shear the spent blooms after the initial round to help ensure better reblooming. Catnip is often grown for cat consumption, to dry for later use, or other herbal uses.
