Description:The granddaddy of Clematis, Jackmanii is more popular than any other variety and for good reason. This variety features endless waves of rich velvet-blue flowers, 4 to 6 inches in diameter, throughout the season. These blooms fade to a lighter violet as they age. Tough and hardy, Jackmanii thrives with neglect once established. Prune back to 6 inches in late winter to early spring (Group 3/Type C). Provide a trellis or structure for vertical support.
