Description:Bridal Veil Astilbe is a great perennial for the shady border with its deep glossy green foliage. Airy, pure white plumes arise atop the foliage in early summer. These are great for cutting or can be left on the plant for the interest the dried seed heads provide in fall and winter. The white blooms also make it a popular choice for a moonlight garden. Astilbes are often planted in large masses and do not care for dry soils.
