It has a 1.5" stem with two, dual-purpose heights to accommodate different table heights. Full stem is ideal for free-standing shade applications. Reduced stem is for under-the-table applications. It is made from hardened steel with a durable, black matte finish. The medium-weight umbrella base is not intended for use in freestanding applications.
