Description:An impressive garden shrub for color effect, Goldmound features vibrant gold foliage which emerges bronze and turns red in fall. In summer, this foliage is often a yellowish green, especially when planted in part shade. The flat-topped clusters of pink flowers occur in early summer. Deadheading spent blooms will help extend the bloom time as well as provide additional new growth color. Trim to shape after initial round of flowering. Plant individually or in masses, this spirea is drought tolerant once established.
