Description:
Pinky Winky Prime is a newer introduction of Panicle Hydrangeas, being larger than the original Pinky Winky Hydrangea. Not only larger in overall size, the flowers are larger and fuller, with many measuring over 16 inches. Long blooming, each massive white bloom changes to pink, then rosy red. At the end of the season, the flowers dry to a papery brown. One of the lowest maintenance Hydrangeas, Pinky Winky offers winter interest by keeping their blooms on all winter. Prune in early spring to remove old flowers and to shape. Stems generally hold strong, with limited floppiness. Blooms can be enjoyed in fresh and dried arrangements.
