Latin Name: Callicarpa x 'NCCX2'
Height: 4 - 5 feet
Spread: 3 - 4 feet
Sunlight: Full Sun; Part Sun
Bloom Time: July to September
Hardiness Zone: 5-8
Description:
Pearl Glam has an upright habit compared to the standard beautyberry. Newly emerging foliage on this beautyberry is purple, and stays purple all season long. Small, white flower sprays turn into small, orchid to violet purple round berries in late summer. Only one plant is needed for this berry production. Both the flower sprays and berry sprays are great for cut flower bouquets and pollinators. In some winters, dieback might occur. Cut back to 6-12 inches in height in late winter to early spring for rejuvenation and compactness. This is not a native variety of Beautyberry.
