The Cherokee Princess Dogwood is known for its exceptionally large white flower bracts. These bracts give way to large fruits that turn to red in fall. Its foliage changes to a luminous pink-scarlet-red foliage in autumn. Best performance is in a location that receives shade in the hot afternoon sun as well as protected from strong winds. Both the bracts and fruits can be used in floral arrangements. This small ornamental shade tree is a nativar.
