Description:
Prairie Petite Lilac has neat, light pink blooms that are held upright on the shrub. These blooms fade to lavender as they age and can be viewed in early May rather than later in the month. The best time to prune your lilac is shortly after it has finished blooming. Cutting back later in the season or in early spring will remove the flower buds, resulting in either fewer or no blooms for the season. The flowers are often used cut fresh and scent many different products, such as candles and soaps.
