Description:
Northwind Switch Grass has a nice blue-green foliage that turns a yellow-beige in fall. Its airy, cloud-like panicles give way to interesting seed pods in fall. These seed heads provide a food source for birds. Its upright, vase shaped habit make it an excellent choice in borders and masses. This grass is native and a member of the tallgrass prairies. The stems can be cut to use in autumn and winter décor. Cut clumps back in late winter to early spring to approximately 3 inches above the ground.
