Native to Indiana, Northern Catalpas are one of the few larger shade trees that produce noticeable and significant blossoms. The fragrant, bell-shaped flowers have orange strips and purple spots. These give way to long green bean-like pods. Narrow, open, irregular rounded crown features large green leaves that turn yellow in autumn. This catalpa is fast growing and heat tolerant once established.
