Armstrong Gold is a fast growing, very tall, columnar maple with ascending branches. It is great in spaces that do not allow for wide shade trees. The emerging coppery orange leaves deepen to medium green summer foliage that later turn a golden yellow to orange in autumn. This plant is a selection of a seedling of Armstrong Maple, a native hybrid. Armstrong Gold has a tighter, more compact habit compared to its parent, Armstrong Maple.
