Yoshino Cherry has a spectacular spring show of large, white blossoms sometimes tinged in pink. These fragrant blossoms produce small black cherries that birds love but are bitter to humans. The dark green leaves turn a yellow with bronze tints in the cooler weather of autumn. Yoshino Cherry is the cherry tree of Washington D.C.; the hybrid originated in Japan.
