Cold hardy, this peach tends to have better production of peaches than other peach varieties in the northern US. Self-pollinating, the Reliance Peach tree has pink flowers that give way to medium-to-large sized fruits that possess a sweet flavor. These fruits are freestone and ripen in early August. The bright yellow skin and flesh features red blushes. This peach tree is generally grafted to a standard-sized rootstock. Fruits are excellent for eating fresh as well as baking, canning, and preserving in other ways.
