Description:

Gala Apple trees produce sweet and firm fruit that ripen in early October, starting when the tree is still at an early age. Pink buds open to white, fragrant flowers that can be cut and enjoyed inside. The fruit is tangy and slightly tart, with a hint of vanilla. When stored properly, these fruits can last for up to six months. Best used as a fresh eating and snacking apple, it can be used in salads or mixed with other apples for cooking, baking, or canning. While Gala is a self-fruiting variety, it is best planted with a cross-pollinator to increase yield for a better harvest. Suitable varieties include, but are not limited to, Fuiji, Honeycrisp, Red Delicious, and Granny Smith.
