Description:

Big Ears Lamb's Ear features dense rosettes of large, silver-grey leaves. Leaves are soft, velvety, and thick. In milder winters, foliage is semi-evergreen. While it can flower, this variety does not do so reliably. When it does on the rare occasion, the blooms are small, inconspicuous, and a pinky-purple color. Big Ears Lamb's Ear is an excellent selection for sensory gardens and adds texture and color to the perennial garden. Foliage can be used for short term flower arrangements. This plant performs well in many environments except those that are too wet or too shady.
