Description:
Let's Dance Sky View Hydrangea is a hybrid of the Bigleaf and Mountain Hydrangea types, with this one being selected for its continuous blooming performance and ability to have the old wood buds be conserved in colder weather challenges. When grown in acidic (or amended acidic) soils, flowers emerge sky blue with light green eyes. Blooms are mature when they are a full sky blue. When in clay to alkaline soils, blooms will be pink. Amend our soils with Aluminum Sulfate or Espoma Soil Acidifier if preferred bloom color is blue. Note that flowers could be either color or a shade of purple during the amending process. Let's Dance Sky View Hydrangea was the 2024 Hydrangea of the Year. Remove dead in spring after new growth has emerged and lightly prune after initial flowering if needed. Heavier pruning will reduce down the amount of flowers for the current and following season.
