With deep, dark greeny-blue leaves and blood-red berries, this Royal Family Holly is an evergreen showstopper. With both the male (Blue Prince) and female (Blue Princess) hollies together in the same pot, you get two plants for the price of one! Shrubs can be planted together or separately, within 25 feet of each other for optimal pollination. Both the berries and the foliage are often used in winter decor. When planted in the landscape, this holly does not usually gain its full size in Indiana, especially when pruned for shaping and size control. Hollies benefit from applications of aluminum sulfate, as best performance is in acidic soils.
