A rather attractive columnar garden shrub with finely cut foliage, appearing fern-like, for an overall fine, wispy appearance. This foliage is excellent for a textural effect in a garden composition, whether it be in a container, hedge, accent, or specimen planting. In autumn, the foliage will turn yellow. Very hardy, tough and adaptable, this Fine Line requires little maintenance once established. Some plants will produce dark purple to black berry like fruits. It is said to be non-invasive as the seeds of this cultivar are rarely viable.
