Description:

Clara Curtis is considered a Hardy Mum as it reliably returns each season. Starting in spring, and continuing through July, pinch the plant every 2 weeks for the most blooms in the fall. Pinching helps delay the blooms, so if you would like earlier blooms, stop pinching sooner. This pinching also creates a more compact and bushier plant with more buds. Deadhead the spent flowers to encourage more blooms in autumn. Daisy-like flowers are a soft pink, fading as the bloom ages, with button yellow centers. Clara Curtis grows best in full sun but can tolerate part sun. It performs best in rich, well-drained soils; amend each year with fertilizer, such as Espoma Flower-Tone, and consider topdressing with some compost. Clara Curtis can be cut to enjoy fresh. Division can help control its spread by rhizomes.
