Description:
Virginia Bluebells are a native spring ephemeral (woodland wildflower) that has pink buds opening to blue and purple bell shaped flowers that are pendulous and slightly fragrant. The closed flower buds resemble deflated balloons. Foliage emerges deep purple and quickly changes to bluish-green with prominent veins. By midsummer, the plants go dormant and dead foliage should be removed. Virginia Bluebells prefer rich moist soils that are well-draining
